The beginning of freedoms were lost after 9-11 when we allowed our chicken little politicians to over react and create the United States Gestapo called Homeland Security. It has grown into an unstoppable machine that's been allowed to ravage the Constitution, a document and principal that was crafted by the blood of brave individuals and defended for 200 years by those who shared the same principals. I am ashamed of what has happened. If you haven't been following the folly of at least the TSA, then maybe you should wake up for a spell.
We have met the enemy and it is us. ----- Original Message ----- From: Robert Q. What problem are we solving here? Are there repeated signs of abuse of airports? Are people in masses flocking out to come together on airports to do something dangerous? Which repeated cases of activities against the common good need to be stopped here? The argument to make things potentially safer does not cut it for me. If that's the case , let's close all bridges in the country to avoid accidents on bridges. Sure you'll get that number to zero. Or close all highways. Fence them in. You never know, someone might walk there someday with a bomb. I can not understand the panicking society. Where will this all end? I used to live in a country where everything was pretty much fenced in. Ports and airports only accessible with special permission. You know what? People did not like that kind of world and revolted against the rulers. The people succeeded. That way we'll all be "safe" (broke and hungry too). Sorry, IMHO that idea strikes me as ridiculous. Dan Hall ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ed Burkhead" <e...@edburkhead. com> To: "'Paul M.
