No, no, no! The SCAT hose from the muffler is for the carb heat. The cabin heat hose comes from the small muff on the left side of the engine. If the hose from the muffler is not installed you do not have carb heat available. Fix it immediately!

That is the air supply for cabin heat. The air comes from the baffles, gets heated around the stack, then goes to the flapper box on the firewall. If the hole in the baffle is just open, it can affect engine cooling.
