I have to disagree with you on one point. There are plenty of TCDS that do 
specify a spinner. The C150/152 was an example already supplied. It does not 
specify a spinner for the Continental powered C150 but it does for the Lycoming 
powered C152. A quick look through the C182 TCDS looks like it is required on 
all props.
