Dan .

Your cable is most likely NOT too long. Rather the outer housing is not
properly attached/ installed. Also the brackets supporting the cable might note
be properly installed.

Most people don't get the mechanics of a bowden-cable. The outer housing
supports one force and the cable the other . Just tightening the cable is only
solving a problem on one side. The housing or the brackets that support the
cable are the other side.

I hope to get to the airport tomorrow and try to get a few pictures of the
areas to look for.

You can buy a new cable , install it like the old cable and end up with the
same problem.

My parking brake cable is too loose/long. (only brake I can use with my
paraplegia)
Looking under the panel I see a turnbuckle that is tightened the tightest it
can go.
Before I pay someone to tear out the floorboards looking, does anyone know if
there
is another adjustment that can be made or a simple solution to the problem.
When I pull the parking brake out to full stop there is still some more pedal
left on
the floor that I would like to be able to use.
Thanks,
