Besides what Dave Winters just said, we've been asked to not rock the boat as attempts are made behind the scenes to improve the situation. We don't want letters and calls going into the FAA or Univair at this point on this issue, these might bring up issues that can't be overcome.
For now, if anyone asks about this issue, just refer them to my recent post, also available on my website at: http://edburkhead.com/Ercoupe/eligible_as_LSA.htm I'll add one more note: Joe didn't think that a form 337 is required as part of the model up-conversion, that only a log book entry and data plate change were needed. However, if a form 337 is filled out and submitted as part of an up-conversion, then it constitutes documentary evidence of a model change. Ed
