To verify this idea, I would quickly swap the wheels and try again. If the
dragging follows the wheel, you are one step closer to the fix.

Subject: Re: [ercoupe-tech] Brakes pulling to the left

I spent a year working on the same thing with my Alon. In the end replacing
the discs cured the problem. One side was worn much more than the other side.
We suspect that with the excess piston travel at the callipers the piston was
sticking that side, preventing full application of the pads.

I hurt my chest testing the brakes first time after repair they were that good!

I am at a lost on this and have been fighting to resolve it for a month. I
have a 415-C with a conversion set of Cleveland Brakes and new Master cyclinder
(Matco). I am trying to put my plane back into the air after a many year long
restoration. But during my taxi runs we have found that the brakes when
applied pull the airplane to the left. I have rebleed the lines (many, many
times) to have nothing change. I thought that some Corrosion-X got on the
discs, so I cleaned them of with brake fluide (later sanded the disc) with no
change. I then changed out the pads on the right side and again no change. I
then took the left caliper and the right caliper and switched them to the
opposite wheels. No Change, it still pulled to the left. There appears to be
no obstrucion in the lines as the bleeding of the lines flow good.

What can be causing this in my plane? I can steer it out when stopping but
that doesn't seem the right thing to be doing. And it is keeping me from
putting the plane back into the air until I have resolved the braking issue.
HELP.
