We have a portable digital prop tach unit that we place on the windscreen to
get the actual RPM and compare that with the TACH. works pretty good and both
are pretty close. With the 85 HP and just 200 hours since a major I get a
static max of about 2250 RPM on takeoff. Climbing out at full power, 70 -75 MPH
indicated at 1320 lbs I get about 300 - 400 FPM. Cruising at 2400 RPM, 2,000
FT I indicate 100 to 105 MPH or 85 kts.

I also do the runup at 1700 RPM.

But we also have.a wooden climb prop.

        Hello Group

Thanks everybody for the suggestions posted.

I have to freeze my decision for a new prop purchase until deeper
investigation will be carried out following most of your comments.

Hartmut ric I’ll pass you the photos soon.

        Kind regards
