Gang. Merry Christmas from Berlin,
The heater is not really what you want it to be in cold weather. I flew ones at minus 20 degrees Celsius and wondered whether the heater was working at all. So I closed the heater valve. Yes, there was an instant difference. It works. The way it is designed, the heat goes under the floor board where it exits up into the cabin - if you don't have a carpet! Most planes I saw have a carpet. That blocks the way. You then need then an alternative opening, like the one described here: http://www.ercoupe.info/?n=Main.JacksHeater Best wished from the now rainy Berlin, Germany Hartmut To: [email protected] From: [email protected] Date: Fri, 25 Dec 2009 06:07:15 -0800 Subject: [ercoupe-tech] heater Hi gang, Happy Holidays. My Coupe doesnt put out enough heat, and what heat it does have seems to come UNDER the floor, not through the firewall. Is this uncommon, or is there something I can do to fix this?
