I’ve heard tell that the normal heater outlet is under the foot rest
board or something. Mine did NOT have that.

In my Coupe, someone had put the heater outlet about a foot above the
floor on the firewall, directly in front of the pilot.

I was comfortable down to -5°F (-20°C) for sure. I might have even
flown down to -10°F (-23°C) and, if so, it was adequately comfortable.

In the cold part of the winter, we sometimes put a small square of duct
tape over the cold air intake for the cabin vent on the front of the
nose bowl.

If your cabin heat is not adequate and otherwise checks out, you might
want to look into moving the outlet.

P.S. The mid-winter ferry flight to the mechanic who was to install the
replacement side window was quite cold in spite of the full cabin heat –
with only one side window, the cabin heat just couldn’t keep up! (But it
sure did help!)
