I have one and have no problems reading it. It is under the panel directly in
front of the pilot. My transponder is on the right side and is usually set on
1200 so I don't have to see it frequently.

About 6 months ago I installed a new ICOM A-200 radio in my 1946 415C.
The radio is installed just below the panel to the right of the pilot.
The radio works fine but I have a difficult time reading the frequency numers.
In bright daylight I usually have to crouch down and to the right to read the
numbers. The radio is new and I do not want to buy another new one, although I
think ICOM now offers a new model with a larger display. Do you think I could
install an external light or does anyone have another possible solution to my
problem. Thanks, Dennis
