Should be a CCA-1550 in our case. I have seen them leak but I think it is pretty rare that one would come apart. I sure don't know how they could blame it on the permatex. They have pipe threads on them and if they are tight should not need any sealer. Unless this was some other crazy gascolator that had some other drain valve that was only glued in and not threaded. In that case it had no business being on an airplane. What gascolator was installed?
