CCA-1550 is used on most gascolators and some wing tanks. CCA-1600 is also used on some of the wing tank drains.
Failure seems to be a rare occasion.
I have never heard of a failure that occurred before the seal needed to be replaced. I suspect the ones that fail have been in service through several seals' lifetimes.
