John, all of this makes me SO happy I am my own A&P! Like I am really worried if my non TSO or PMA gauge goes tits up and I have to replace it. There are many parts of my plane that I would only put on "approved" parts, and the best ones I can find (my constant orders to Skyport prove this). Sometimes it gets into making me feel like the FAA thinks I have no common sense.
