This is what makes this group as special as our beloved birds. We
disagree, we argue, and sometimes we're even forced to eat pizza.  BUT;
acts like Willie's, and others prove the true character of our group.
Thanks to everyone who works to keep our bunch special.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] 78H and Christina

Gene,

Thanks for bringing Christina's note on airport-data.com to my
attention; I didn't realize it was there.

Yes, Christina did make contact with me the first week of February. We
corresponded via email for a few weeks until I was able to fly 78H to
Sacramento Executive with my wife to meet with her. She was a very happy
and emotional young lady, and very appreciative to be able to see and
fly in the airplane her father once owned and flew from 1965 to 1971.

Christina is a 23-year old college student in the Sacramento area whose
father passed away when she was 8 months old. She has aspirations to get
her private pilot certificate; I believe this experience has been an
inspiration for her.

It was very interesting to see some old photos of 78H and look through
the old flight logbook. It appears 78H was based at Hayward Muni during
that time, and spent quite a bit of time flying throughout central
California.

It gave me great pleasure to be able to do such a simple thing to give
this young lady the opportunity to make a connection with her father.

I have added a few photos of Christina and myself with N3378H at KSAC on
http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/N3378H.html

AIM HIGH! FLY SAFE!

like you could gain some history of your plane and make someone else
happy at the same time!
