OK, I need a question answered by the tech guys. Recently one of my best flying
friends passed away and his wife was cleaning out his books. She came across
the Touch Of Class Ercoupe book in perfect condition and gave it to me as a
thank you for taking him flying to receive his cancer treatments at University
of Virginia and also during his final days. In reading it I noticed the comment
that the reason the wing does not stall at the tips is because of a small ridge
along the leading dge of the wing where it attaches to the fusalage. So
yesterday I went to the airport and looked for this ridge or airfoil and
something like it was there.

Is this the reason the wing does not stall at the tip and if so how does it
work? I know by limiting the elevator travel the stall is eliminated but was
curious about the wing stalling.

Also we have the rams horn yokes and the added visibility of the entire panel
is a plus.

Thanks for your tech help on the wing tips.
