This feature has been around for a long time in many airplanes.  The "twist" or 
"washout" is intended to keep the tipwise portion of the wing unstalled so the 
ailerons retain their effectiveness after the initial stall warning.  Otherwise 
- Stall and wheeeeeeeeeeeee!
