It is illegal (according to the FAA) for anyone other than the type certificate holder (Univair) to alter the data plate or create a new one.
That said look at TCDS 718 Note 3, the authorization to convert a 415 c to 415D. (i) says to modify the data plate. Who knows??? I would check to see if the existing plate was issued by Univair, if not there is a problem. Correct. Not one single 415C came from the factory with an O-200 installed. I would ask the seller what basis there is for the installation of the O-200. -- John Cooper Skyport East www.skyportservices.net _________________________________________________________________ The New Busy think 9 to 5 is a cute idea.
