Geez, another Ercoupe myth. They land just fine in a crab up to 25 MPH x-wind
with or without pedals. I prefer pedals and modify my technique to use as much
rudder as I can with level wings and neutral ailerons (don't want them
displaced when the nosewheel touches down) and then let the airplane crab the
rest of the way. But I've flown Hartmut's without pedals and it lands just
fine!

Try landing with those kind of crosswinds in a Luscombe or Champ!
