This is interesting to hear. Then there is a big difference about what a small group of amateurs vs. an incorporated company, no matter how small, even if both are using the same technical sources and are doing similar things. When I was doing my internship at XCOR up to a year ago, everything related to the actual rocket engines (igniter, injector, thrust chamber, cooling systems) was off limits for me, due to state department regulations. I have heard that the situation hasn't improved since. About sending CAD drawings to this list, please be careful not risk this open list or your entire group. Something else: The IAF/AIAA and COSPAR/NAS will host the World Space Congress in Houston from October 10 to October 19. They expect over 10000 attendands. I will be there the entire time, thanks to ESA's student outreach project. If anyone from this list is interested, information at http://www.aiaa.org/wsc2002/ Currently the registration fee is 550$ for professionals and 225$ for students, but entrance to the 350,000 square feet space exhibition is free: Information about the exhibition: The International Trade Exhibition is open to the public free of charge on Friday, 18 October and Saturday, 19 October. Professionals can enter the exhibition hall free of charge on Monday, 14 October through Thursday, 17 October by registering as Exhibits Only. Registering for Exhibits Only does not include entrance to the technical sessions for World Space Congress 2002 and its associated and other events. I hope to see some of you there!
