Sorry to hear about the accident John. The cost of progress I suppose.
Soldering battery terminals is a tad tricky as the heat may damage the
cells. Alternatively you could drill a small hole through the clip and use
small bolts/nuts to secure the wire. This wire could have a custom strip of
tinned copper soldered to it that would also have a hole in it. You get the
idea. Cheap and effective.
