Aleta, For the purpose of long term storage of peroxide a desert with it`s extreme temperatures is eventually not the ideal place. Despite the horror stories heard from time to time I consider peroxide as one of the oxidizers that with proper respect and adequate equipment can be safely handled by amateurs.
PS. Personally I prefer LOX AJ> Henry, AJ> At AirVenture 2002 last year a retired rocket engineer stopped by our AJ> booth. He commented that he worked with highly concentrated peroxide AJ> during his career. His barrels of it were stored in a circle 'way out in AJ> the desert, "and every once in a while one of those barrels would decide AJ> on its own to try to go into orbit," he said. He had a poor opionion of AJ> the stuff based on direct experience.
