I just suffer from 'apparently stupid idea syndrome' which basically consists of me coming up with a somewhat cunning idea which sounds mind boggling stupid, which usually isn't quite that stupid, and is sometimes entirely correct. I don't always know the difference either. In fact, I think in general it is not possible to know the difference.
