Eh?  One would not build a multistage POGO.  POGO is a technology
demonstrator, nothing more.

I wouldn't even stage ReSOAR.  PROTO, very possibly.  Learn how to
stage on KISS beta, then KISS, then probably Spike.

Of course, one can envision putting POGO on top of a very large KISS,
and flying it to 10,000 feet to test its recovery capability - but I'd
want the POGO project manager to have a cardiology exam first.

I think Armadillo has done a good job showing that it isn't engines
that fail.  It's all the stuff that controls them and makes them part
of a propulsion system.  Engines can and do fail, of course; but if it
happens in flight, you arguably didn't do enough static testing.

And manifolds are no one's friends.  Except maybe Doug's.  :-)

Come to think of it...has ERPS ever had an engine problem in flight?
(Not subnominal performance like the KISS chug; we were already living
with that in the interest of project momentum.)  For that matter, has
Armadillo?
