        200k lbf-sec total impulse, more or less. Possibly, it doesn't make
much difference at all. A VTVL vehicle with that kind of impulse flying
unmanned is clearly exempt under the rules as written. Build your
vehicle to fly both manned and remote operated, and you are clear to do
at least some of your flight testing within the amateur exemption even
if you can't get it in as a PLN experimental craft.

        Usenet hasn't been a useful medium since around the time I left high
