Also I'm very interested to here about the project's roadmap. When will
version 1.7 be released. Do we speak about weeks or months? Or do you
also plan for some smaller improvements for a 1.6.1 which would not
include such big changes like integrating WSO2 registry?
We are currently working on scope and features for the 2.0 of the ESB
that integrates the service hosting functionality currently provided by
WSAS and Data services etc. However, the exact timelines for this is
still not finalized. We are targetting the next major release (initial
2.0 or 1.7) in the next 4-6 months and that will include the new
features etc. However, depending on the requirements of users, we may
decide to do a 1.6.1 or 1.7 (with lesser features)..
Our current blockers seem to be:

239 requires a bit of work to complete, where as 439 is a quick and
straightforward enhancement. However, both will go into the next release
