First dog was a chocolate Poodle when I was in elementary school. The only dog I've ever taught a lot of stuff to - guess I had a lot more time on my hands then. She was very smart and so willing and easy to train. When a couple who were friends of my folks had a tragedy, (the woman committed suicide), the man stayed overnight and the Poodle was right by his side. Eskies may have stolen our hearts, but if I could have more dogs, I'd have a few other Breeds represented and I bet I'm not alone:) Cindy

Not as much as our dear Eskies of course, but I too had an elderly poodle gal who was with us for 15 wonderful years and grew up with my kids and then adored the grandbabies too. When I had my first baby, we had a rather elderly poodle and you would think that we would have had problems with her. But Shari actually loved the baby, especially when I put the baby on the floor.
