Geez! I'm e-mailing a lot today! But just a word on people thinking...
There are many, many people out there for whom a thought process has not
been established.
Some days I feel bad that I can't take a precious like Precious but
(establishing thought process here), I know it wouldn't be fair until I
can walk a lot better. I'm doing OK with Leo, but would need to be TONS
better before taking on another goggie.
Leo says "Woof!"
I think that's Eskie for "My mama promised me a puppy when she's all

While we are telling dump the dog stories. Just have to include our
newest puppy resident. Precious is a sweetheart of an Eskie pup. Only
four months old. Came to us mostly housebroken, very loving, and no
"real" issues other than being a baby. We got her because she was
nipping at the new baby. Right! New baby was six days old in a
bassinet. Puppy is so small it can't even get up on a couch. Did they
lay the baby on the floor and put the puppy next to it so she could chew
on the baby like she does her squeaky toys? I'll be the baby would
squeak nicely too. LOLOL I can laugh because we have a wonderful puppy
girl to enjoy and adopt out after she is spayed. They even took her to
the vet and she was current on her puppy shots.
Now, my math tells me that this lady had to be six months or more
pregnant when they got the puppy? WHAT were they thinking? Well, they
are nice folks but young and obviously not thinking at all. Yes, they
were dumb. But they and Precious are fortunate. Their vet is our vet.
When they called to ask about surrendering the pup, our vet sent them
straight to me. We drove up and got her the same afternoon. She came
with her food, toys (lots of them), blankie, treats. Obviously she was
well treated until the baby was born and they figured out it might not
be a good idea to raise two babies at once.
But just to show you there are lots of stories just like this out there
and yes, WHAT WERE THEY THINKIN?

It's unbelievable. The one and only eskie we got at our shelter was
given up for the same reason but I've seen it so many times. "Too much
work now with a baby". Really? We have five children, four cats and
three dogs and we manage just fine, thank you. Back when it was Hubud,
the cats and I, I added a husband (never did like him but we kept the
husband anyway) and then the kids started coming and we all adjusted
just fine. Never once did I ever even consider not having him in my
life. I'm not going to say he never got overstimulated with all the
commotion but he would seek out a quiet place and we'd respect that. I
hope they put these people on a do not adopt list. Sheesh.

OMG!!!
He is so very beautiful ~ and young! Did they not know they would be
having a baby at some point? Why bring a dog into the home and you know
you won't keep it when kids come around?!?!

Look at this precious Eskie surrendered by his owner - - - It really
upsets me when I see people give up their pets because of a new baby.
What is wrong with these people??
