Hey Nicholas,
Sounds good - I'll let you know if I find some other solutions. I haven't looked
into it yet, but off the top of my head maybe there's something we can do with
something as simple as IFTTT…
Yeah! I think updating the page to add a little visual interest is always
helpful, and it'll be the perfect time to sync it up with any possible redesigns
that might be happening.
My personal Twitter handle is: @tftsai

I use Zapier for my personal site, but there are a couple things I don't like
about it: 1) it uses its own URL shortener 2) there is a delay when triggered by
RSS.

I tend to spend around 30 minutes a day on it. I check in the morning, at lunch,
and before dinner and tend to spend no more than ten minutes at each point
(sometimes nothing is going on, so it's just 60 seconds).

Updating the page sounds good. We are looking at updating our logo and website,
so we may want to wait until that's done to change everything at once.

I'll get you setup tomorrow, what is your Twitter name?

Hey Nicholas,
Thanks for getting back to me - first of all - that's incredible that you've
been doing it on your own so far!
Perhaps automation with releases can use something like this:
https://zapier.com/ zapbook/github/twitter/
All the other steps sound standard and obviously effective - though I'm sure you
could use an extra hand in helping out with the Twitter account. I always love
helping people out, and ESLint's been totally invaluable for me! I think some
first steps (given the work that's being done on the design front) would be to
spruce up the Twitter - a custom banner of some sort would be helpful!
Other than that, how much time are you usually spending helping to manage this?
Want to make sure I can set aside enough time every day to help you all out :)

Hi David,

Thanks so much for your interest. Here's a little background.

To date, I've been the one managing the Twitter account. This is what I've been
doing:

1. Posting about releases (though I'd like to automate that)
2. Retweeting people who say how impactful ESLint has been for them (not every
nice thing, just the really big ones).
3. I regularly run a search for "eslint -slint", which I've found I'd the best
query to find tweets that don't specifically at-mention the account.
4. I try to respond to anyone who is having a problem or has a question (if I
can't resolve in one tweet, by sending a link to docs or otherwise, I ask them
to open an issue or stop by the chatroom).

So, generally I just try to be helpful and nice.

I'm not a marketing person at all, so if you have suggestions for what else
could be done, I'd love to hear them. Otherwise, let me know if this sounds of
interest to you or if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Hey!
Wanted to follow up on helping out with the Twitter account - I'm a full stack/
front end guy here in SF, but my background's actually in marketing across
consumer and enterprise orgs, would LOVE to help out! Just let me know how I can
best serve the needs of Eslint. Love what you (and everyone else) have done :)
Best, David

@tsaiDavid that would be great! would you mind sending a note to the mailing
list so we
can discuss some of the details?
