Dear Nam,

In my country, the commercial Christmas season starts in late
November. During the first days of December the Nativity Scene is
assembled in homes. The religious Christmas starts December 8th. That
day is The Candles Day. The Candles Day eve, people and specially
children light color candles in the sidewalks of their houses, at
night.

Between December 16 and December 24, catholics celebrate Christmas
Novena (A nine days period as described here:
http://www.ewtn.com/Devotionals/novena/christmas.htm). During this
days, a special mass is celebrated at 5 a.m. and at night each
familiar group, and specially children, gather together around the
nativity scene to pray and sing christmas carols.

The nativity scenes are disassembled no sooner than January 6th, after
the arrival of the Three Wise Men.

Today, children are enjoying of the Cristmas presents.

Thank you,

Pablo
