I have been feeling kind of low lately. Reading all your messages cheers me up somehow... Thank you,Charles!You have been so sweet!:) What does 'Hsiao Chi' mean? Does it mean little boy? You can see that I can't pronounce'ping yin'which is a system designed for foreigners by Chinese scholars,I guess.:( Carol was brought up mostly by me and my mom because her own parents were busy working and partying. What's ironic is that when she began to go to university and live in the dorm at least 5 hour-drive from her hometown,her parents wanted to see her every weekend. She almost always declined their intensive visits or their requests of her to go home and spend time with them!LOL I reckon I must have been the guilty one who made her believe that girls can't count on their pretty faces and what you do and who you are are more important than how you look...;) You're right that she's a witty and clever girl who doesn't want to have a boyfriend!LOL Oh,please!Don't fall in love with your own IQ or EQ!LOL You said you wanted to be a teacher,didn't you? An ESL/EFL teacher like me teaching foreigners or your own Chinese? If you mean it,there's a lot to think about... Do you need a certificate to teach anywhere in China?
