Linguistic scientists are conducting research about the effective ways of
learning English. These ways usually concentrate on a specific skill in
order to train students to use English as a second language effectively.
These skills are generally categorized in 4 groups of reading, listening,
speaking and writing. Some experts believe that learning with the most focus
on some of these skills will help to proceed faster than using another ones.
In my opinion, learning through reading as much comprehensible and
interesting texts as possible will fasten the process of learning English.

Reading an article in English makes us familiar with language constructs and
also provides us with new words as well as they way of using them correctly.
Moreover, by reading again and again, our mind will automatically be trained
to make sentences in English properly due to the fact that It has seen many
correct samples before. The next effective way is through listening
understandable materials since it reviews all the structures, grammar and
new vocabulary we have already learned. Indeed, both reading and listening
to as much understandable English articles as possible will improve our
English fluency faster because they provide us with perfect sources from
native speakers.

Then, the learner can try to write some essays or speak English in order to
practice what he has learned and find his mistakes. However, without a rich
background, which is acquired by reading and listening to English sources,
just practicing English by writing or speaking may not come handy to learn a
foreign language perfectly.

In conclusion, although with each skill we can improve our English language
competency, in my opinion, Learning via reading is the most effective way to
achieve this goal. I think the more essays one reads, the fastest his
English fluency will improve.
