Hello Oshiro 2 Jasons Andy Tojan Pablo Claire and all, I have had a class every day for the last 2 weeks with a group of quite unusual combination of students. One,in her early thirties, is a nurse who is having a maternity leave and has worked in the Emergency Room at the hospital and hospice. Another,in her late forties, is a clerk working for an power-supply company. And the other,in his late twenties,is a suyveyor/geo engineer working for an oil company looking for oil in the desert abroad.
This is a question we discussed and guess what conclusion I got after each responded: They trust their intuitions and feelings at work! We all agree that sometimes all the statistics, data, reports or researches show us what to do,but we just can feel that something doesn't seem right which requires our double check or it urges us to think outside the box as to make sure we don't overlook something small but able to change the whole aspect of the situation... If you have been put in a dangerous situation where you can't trust anything or anyone but yourself or your instinct, you'll be quite surprised that we each have such inner strength which can help us through almost everything! I myself believe intuitions and feelings equals knowledge and experience. What do you say?;) How add it is that perhaps the older I am,the more I trust my instincts!LOL Oshiro,I suppose it depends on how you talk to the employee whom you have to lay off. Being a good manager or leader doesn't mean you have to be 'merciless' or 'hearless'.LOL 'Common sense' ,'firmness' and 'flexibility' work better in my opinion.;) Another senseless talk of mine, maybe?LOL Good night, Pln On Sep 2, 6:47 pm, Rafael Oshiro <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello Pln and all, > > I personally think it's 'untrue'. > > I believe important business decisions should be taken rationally, based on > facts and things you can rely on.
