Hello Jason C.Oshiro Simone and all, First of all,Jason C,so sorry to learn that you caught a cold, especially in this imprtant week of yours...:( C'est la vie, isn't it?
Don't worry about those pictures. They can wait since I'm not going anywhere anyway!LOL As for your Bec Exam in this coming December,I'll find a suitable site for you to strengthen your skills before the exam. If you are taking Bec Vantage,I used to use 'New Insights into Business' published by Longman, but I prefer 'Market Leader' New Edition (upper-intermediate)published by Pearson Longman. I don't know if you know this business English podcast by any chance: http://www.businessenglishpod.com Then,Oshiro,I don't think other members from here know about the thread I started at English Learner's Cafe and they can't go there to read it,either as the cafe has been gone missing since last Monday...for whatever reason,we don't have a clue yet...:( I will find time to log on TED to watch Elaine Morgan's speech as soon as I can,and let you know what I think! Finally,Simone, thank God,you're back or you're always here. Tell me if you agree with me,will you? Men often think women are too indecisive. The truth is that when women make a decision, they often try to take everyone and everything into consideration as not to offend, disappoint or hurt anyone... In short, most women try to please everyone, and we all know that's impossible, isn't it?:) How to exercise sound judgment day in and day out is surely a tough task for leaders and higher-rank managers! A fruitful day to us all at whatever you do,wherever you are! And Jason C.Get well soon!!! Where have you been Mikhail and Charles at least, another role call of mine as a motivation partner???:) Pln On Sep 8, 8:55 pm, SIMONE AVNISHA <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Everyone !! > > This thread is quite good.what I can say whenever we make a decision we > usually tend to make use of our logic, take into account d prevailing > situation which needs to be solved n d most intelligent part of our body > dat's brain. But,sometym's we are not able to come up wid a solution after > combining all these. So? den wot to do????? s we have to find a way to solve > the problem which is before us?? dere comes our intuitions n feelings which > most of d tym lead us to a right direction. > Business decisions as such need to be taken wid very much clarity i.e; a > decision taken in a careless thought process can lead to disastrous > consequences n can have a impact on the life of people who r associated wid > it in a big way.So ,people who r engaged in taking decisions regarding the > running of business tend to use a lot of facts, figures n a host of other > such analytical instruments n methods to arrive at a crucial > decision. But,whenever dere's a big decision to be taken they also maybe just > a little bit do rely on their intuitions n feelings. One may come across > interviews of great business personalities who in one way or other also > admit it dat wen dey are about to take an important business decision which > is going to have a great impact on their business along wid all the above > mentioned things dey also pay heed to their intuitions n feelings to arrive > at a right decision. > So, I say important decisions wenever to be taken especially by business > honchos dey combine their facts n figures wid their intuitions n feelings to > decide whether to go ahead or not. > > regards, > Simone.(nice to hear from u Pln). > > > > > > On Tue, Sep 8, 2009 at 2:14 AM, pln471 <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Hello Oshiro Jason C.
