I'm certainly no expert but here is what I did with some degree of success. http://lists.etherlab.org/pipermail/etherlab-users/2010/000700.html I'm using a FB1111-142 Piggyback board and the EL9820 Evaluation board. Note that to use either the uC interface or the SPI interface with the FB1111-142 you have to use the EL9803 adapter board as shown in the documentation and have the PDI selector set appropriately. I'm using TwinCAT to generate the ESC configuration binary file and then doing a 'ethercat sii_write -p foo config.bin' to load the FB1111. Then I cycle power and follow the steps in the post above. Please share your experience, though, as I've been unable to get my device out of INIT for a 16-bit asynch uC interface PDI configuration. I'm preparing a post of my own on the matter ... Good Luck.
