I decreased the brightness on Natural Light and Natural Medium. This should fix both of those issues.

3) The palette seems poor in green hues.

Hmm.. how's this for an idea:

...

If you add another greyscale to Natural and Shadow you'll have a third triple. If you add another line to Wheat and Cardboard that'll form a triple. I'm thinking maybe Earth with richer tones.

Then we add two lines to Herb to give us a rich set of green hues.

Great ideas!

I basically stole the Earth colors you sent, with a slight saturation decrease to Earth Light.

Yup, that works. It was a little too saturated compared to other Light
variations.

I added the two greens: Algae and Moss. The green triplets work like so: Herb is the closest to a "true" green, with Algae pushed more towards blue and Moss decidedly yellow. I think that gives us a better rounding out of hues than the version that you sent over, which felt very blue focused.

Well, those weren't really suggestions so much as indicators of what I was on about. I really like what you've come up with. Both my green lines seem to be on the track to Algae which is bluer and visually "richer".

You've adjusted Herb Light nicely. I didn't think it fit too well before. The new hue is a great choice.

The only thing I see is that if you exchange Algae and Moss that'd fit the other triples which are kind-of light to dark down the line (but green is reversed).

With the grayscale, I kept Glare, but it is used instead as a light cool (blue) gray, and kept Natural as a light/medium warm (brown) gray. Shadow is still a medium/dark "pure" gray.

Yes, I see. Neat.

I'm really happy with where the palette is now! Thanks for all your suggestions!

You're very welcome. I'm really happy with the palette, too. You've done a very nice job.

Regards,
Sheldon
