That expose-like layer is not good for heavy interaction. Unlike dashboard, it is supposed for you to click only, not moving windows around, etc. It may not be suitable for app launcher, which people usually organize themselves. For notification, it is conceptually different from window/application management. So I am not sure it is good to put them all together.
