Sorry to reply to my own message, but I want to be clear---what's lame 
is a siteop telling you he or she didn't give a fsck.  That's just 
unkind and mean-spirited.  Siteops get loads of emails asking all sorts 
of silly questions, but if they can't reply kindly, they should not 
reply at all.  Particularly when the problem is with the site and not 
with the downloader.

I still think that etree is lucky in the sense that there are people who 
go to great expense and effort to share music via their ftp sites.  But 
no one should have to brown nose anyone to get a show.  And no one 
should have a 'holier-than-thou' attitude.
