The solution to that is fairly simple.

That's a start.

I'd also suggest that the db site contain a pointer to the faqs (that
shows up no matter how deep a url you use to get directly to
somebody's list).

Finally, it might help if the mailinglist software were to require
some magic for a person's first posting; said magic would be available
in the faq (and a posting from a new address without it would be
returned along with a pointer to the faq).
