Have any Furthur users noticed the java applet cyclically going from low-cpu usage to extremely high cpu usage?
E.G.: I run Furthur wide open with 10 downloads going on at any one time, and my download stream varies anywhere from 300 to 1024 Kb/s. Periodically (at whatever downstream level at which Furthur happens to be running), the java applet goes from using like 02 and 04 (or even 24) to 98 or 99 in the task manager w/in XP. Odd. I can't figure out what process the program is executing to reflect such a change in cpu usage, except perhaps some sort of data storing/converting process. Also, this 'lull' in my computer's cpu usage takes like twenty or thirty or more seconds (perhaps a minute or more) to plya out. NOT GOOD WHEN BURNING CD's AND DOWNLOADING FROM FURTHUR. Interestingly enough, I've cut back the concurrent downloads to five, and the phenomenon STILL hits my machine. Insight? Ideas? Flames? Needless to say this is the same trouble I had on a 98 os before I moved my os to xp (consequently losing all of my d'loaded programs in the interim change -but that's a whole 'nother story). Mayhaps this phenomenon is worth mentioning to the Furthur development team? They probably already know about it though. . . And hats off to DJ POPO -'cause he took a newby under his wing and helped me configure my hardware and control-ware (thank you XTEQ) for optimal CDR trading (and soon server-running) performance -without any prompting! DJ is the MAN! T.Warren [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ etree.org etree mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://mail.etree.org/mailman/listinfo/etree
