What you quoted is very misleading! Taiyo Yuden is a
global company that makes a number of products in many
countries. Nowhere does it say where their CD-Rs are
made. You cannot legally print "Made in Japan" on the
label unless the product is made in Japan. Their are
ways around this but I don't see how they would apply
in this case. If they did, it would be consumer fraud.

  Taiyo Yuden may produce discs in Taiwan also but
then they would have to be marked as such! I have not
seen any that say this but it is possible. If the
package says "Made in Japan" then I belive those discs
were made in Japan.
