In my opinion, it would be non-trivial to incorporate and obtain a
non-profit status. It may be easy to get non-profit status, but
incorporating will not be. I am a member of another local group which
applied for and was eventually granted non-profit status, but according to
their board, it was not easy by any means. Our cpa friend can likely help
with the process, but we must as a group decide if it's necessary.

Regards, Jim
