The Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act. Congress, as an extension
of its job to regulate interstate commerce, enacts a set of standards for
how they think the states should regulate various businesses; the Uniform
Commercial Code is one such. These laws only go into effect if the various
states enact them locally. UCITA would subject most computer-related businesses
to much less stringent standards on things like warranty and product liability
