Yes, AFAIK it is completely safe to "look around"...
Hopefully the BIOS programmers have made it clear enough,
you SHOULD see options like:

Save & Exit
Exit w/o Saving
Restore Defaults & Exit

Where exiting without saving would be "looking around"...
