The winter 2000 edition of the "whole earth" magazine, pg.56, contains a 1/4 
page "blurb" on "guerrilla wireless" networks, with a nuts-n-bolts 
description of the hardware needed for the project, which was actually used 
to service 30,000 people during the last "burning man" festival. It is 
fascinating, including web addresses of companies, whose hardware was 
selected.

While the magazine is in hand, turn to pg. 55, for a cool list of web sites, 
for general interest.

I got my copy at the Bookmark, close to west bros. cafe, and on the east 
side of symantec, downtown eugene...
