hop over to nvidia.com and try the reference drivers for your distro. You can
nab the rpms with Mandrake. From there it's best to log out of X and drop
into a terminal to do the install. If all goes well you'll only need to
change a single line in your XF86Config-4 file and it should run smoothly for
you after you restart your Xserver. Just so you know the line to change is
the one referencing the "nv" driver which you just change to "nvidia" or vice
versa. It's been a while. Good luck.
