Although trying to rewrite the filesystem hierarchy is (possibly) sillier. But: if you're bored and looking for neat stuff to try you might look at EROS http://www.eros-os.org which sounds neat and cool and may be the next generation security model. Or you could check out the HURD for which there is a port of debian http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/index </larry>
