One reason could be cable type reduction / organization. A monitor and/or keyboard can act as a hub. You could plug your mouse into the keyboard, the keyboard (and maybe a modem) into the monitor hub and, if you don't mind some quality loss, you could plug in a set of USB speakers as well. At the computer the cables would be reduced to power, monitor and USB. That could be nice for someone who wants to deal with a minimum of different cable types. > i've heard that USB mice feel "snappier", but i didn't experience > that when i had my optical plugged into USB... My bet would be that the reported effect you heard about was more psychological than real. A USB gamepad on the other hand could be a different story. > ===== > Justin Bengtson @euglug=(v+ e- eug++ bsd? gnu++ s++) > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > "i called some kid 'b' the other day. it's the price > you pay for living hip-hop every day of your life." > Jerry (from the Point Blank Rangers) > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Send FREE video emails in Yahoo!
