If you use more than one system, I suggest a KVM! As long as it has
power, it'll supply
you systems with a valid keyboard & mouse signal whether you have a
mouse or keyboard
plugged or not... ie, switch your controller (yes ps2) with no service
interruptions. voila.
Well not a solve-all like I had hoped: my laptop does not have both ps2
mouse&keybd,
only one ps2 for keyboard and one lone usb port :-/ I understand those
little in-line adaptors
will make a usb mouse work on a ps/2 port, but can I change my ps2
mouse-out signal back to
usb ??
btw, the kvm I got resets it's state quite nicely, tho there is a short
delay when switching video
modes I haven't found any it doesn't like. the four-port is the iogear
miniview and was under
120 with cable-sets. Not bad, quite worth it for the use. I'd like to
see a ps2/usb mixed-capable
kvm, ha! how 'bout adb support, and some funky european and third-world
standards?
