You mean an Ethernet hub? They're not compatible. The Dorio uses RS232 at a signaling rate of 9600 or 19200 baud, and the hub uses IEEE 802.whatever at a signalling rate of 10 or 100 megabaud. The unit of data on RS232 is a byte; on Ethernet it's a packet. You can get a terminal concentrator that lets you attach 8 or 16 serial devices to an Ethernet, but it would cost more than the Dorio. > I search freshmeat and they had some thin client workstations. > http://netboot.sourceforge.net/english/introduction.html > http://sourceforge.net/projects/netstation > http://freshmeat.net/projects/pxes/?topic_id=139%2C158 Did you look at the Diskless Linux HOWTO? http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Diskless-HOWTO.html I haven't done it with Linux -- old disk drives are easy to come by. A hundred years ago I had a diskless Sun 3. It was too slow, so I put a disk into it. (-: -- Bob Miller K<bob> kbobsoft software consulting http://kbobsoft.com [EMAIL PROTECTED]
