Capatalism isn't really a problem itself. We owe a lot to capitalism.
There are some problems that have surrounded it, though, that we should
rectify so that capitalism itself doesn't become a problem. First and
formost is the media oligopy. If the media were free, and people were
made aware of the truth of many things that are going on, then the
darkest sides of capitalism would be illuminated and the abusers would
be exposed. We no longer have what I would call an American free press.
It's a big business of pushers. It supports it's own agenda. The
abusers are the problem, and they control the system. They have twisted
it to their will, so to speak. It's so effective and complete that
people are unaware that it can be any other way... Capitalism can work,
and pretty much does work. Just think, our system is so good (compared
to many others) that it almost doesn't matter who the president is,
things still run pretty well.
We don't need to get rid of Capitalism (in my opinion anyway, I'm open
minded) we just need to tweek it to avoid the deplorable abuse we have
been seeing. It needs to be more inclusive of everybody, or at the very
least, stop being so exclusive.
..anyway..
